Welcome ECO interns! This year, we are excited to be working with two new undergraduate ECO interns from the University of Washington College of Education’s Education, Communities and Organizations program.
Sarah Espinoza, she/her
Major: Education, Communities, and Organization major
Sarah will be closely supporting and co-facilitating our Youth Action Team. Sarah is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn more about the vital work that the Youth Action Team is doing to promote equity and justice in play and sports.
When she has some free time, she loves trying out new cafes and restaurants with her friends!
Heather Leung, she/her
Major: Education, Communities, and Organization with an Urban Ecological Design minor.
Heather will also be supporting the Youth Action Team as well as working on the Coalition’s communication efforts to support our messaging and advocacy. She is passionate about collaborating with young people, helping them bring their initiatives to life, and nurturing a community where their efforts are not just on behalf of youth but are guided and led by them.
In her free time, she enjoys playing recreational volleyball and going to the gym.
