We’re proud to announce the King County Play Equity Coalition has been selected as a 2021 Seattle Mariners Community Impact Grant partner.
With assistance from Mariners Care, this $20,000 grant will catalyze creation of a Youth Action Team to increase and amplify youth leadership and perspective as the King County Play Equity Coalition builds equitable solutions for access to play, physical activity and organized sports across the region.
The Community Impact Grant program w as announced by the Mariners last July as part of a broader social justice and racial equity commitments.
These commitments include investments in organizations, programs and partnerships focused on driving long-term, systemic change efforts that lead to positive health outcomes for youth and accelerate equitable outcomes for BIPOC communities.
With support from the Mariners Care, we’re partnering to ensure our communities are places where everyone can thrive. This announcement also launched another round of grants that may be great for many coalition organizations.
