This past weekend, we served up our 3rd Annual Corporate Pickleball Tournament at the Tukwila Community Center! With teams, including the Seattle Kraken 🦑, Seattle Storm 🏀, Gorin 🎾, UW CLA 🎓, the Ravens (the Schlinger family), and our very own KCPEC squad, the competition was high.
Big shoutout to our KCPEC team for making it to the playoffs—whoo whoo! 🙌 But the real stars of the court? Once again, the Seattle Storm dominated and snagged the title of 2024 KCPEC Pickleball Champions 🏆 for the 3rd year in a row! (Somebody, please bring a team next year and take them down 😉.)
The tournament was MC’d by our beloved Irina Tereschenko—a 4x Major League Pickleball champ and #1 in all our hearts. Irina even hopped in to play on the celebrity team, alongside our Play Equity advocates, former Sounders star Brad Evans ⚽️ and Seahawks legend Doug Baldwin 🏈. Talk about a dream team!
The true win was the community spirit and incredible support that this tournament brought to KCPEC’s mission! The funds raised will help us with our transition to 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and fuel our action team program, keep our operations running, and help us grow! 🚀
